Coffee Enema

A coffee enema is primarily for liver detoxification and is a wonderful adjunct to the colonic process. The blood in the body passes through the liver every three minutes. "These enemas represent a form of dialysis of blood across the gut wall." (Healing Newsletter, #13, May-June 1986). Coffee enemas are hugely beneficial to those suffering from chronic constipation as it stimulates peristalsis.

DETOX EFFECT

Substances found in coffee promote the activity of a key enzyme, glutathione S-transferase, above the norm. This detoxifies a vast array of electrophiles (free radicals) from the bloodstream, as the coffee enema stimulates the liver to produce more bile, and this bile draws out metallic toxins, parasites and other colon irritants.

LIVER AND SMALL INTESTINE

The liver and small intestine neutralise the most common tissue toxins: polyamines, ammonia, toxic bound nitrogen and electrophiles. These detoxification systems are thought to be enhanced by coffee enemas, as coffee enemas stimulate the liver to produce glutathione, the body's master antioxidant. This aids in the elimination of toxins from within the cells. Physiological Chemistry and Physics has stated that "caffeine causes dilation of bile ducts, which facilitates excretion of toxic breakdown products by the liver and dialysis of toxic products across the colonic wall".

In addition, theophylline and theobromine (two other chemicals in coffee) dilate blood vessels and counter inflammation of the gut; the palmitates enhance the enzyme system responsible for the removal of toxic free radicals from the serum; and the fluid of the coffee enema then stimulates the visceral nervous system to promote peristalsis and the transit of diluted toxic bile from the duodenum and out the rectum.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A COFFEE ENEMA?

  • The enhanced glutathione S-transferase activity in the liver assists liver detoxification that neutralises and helps remove a large variety of toxic compounds.

  • Improved hydration greatly assists detoxification and overall health.

  • Cleanses and heals the colon.

  • Improves digestion.

  • Detoxifies the liver and colon and helps rebuild the liver.

  • Helps the colon eliminate parasites.

  • Reduces many types of pain.

  • Since toxicity is the cause of dozens of common ailments from arthritis to cancer, coffee enemas are said to help with many diseases and conditions.

  • Can help with depression and general nervous tension.

  • Increases mental clarity, energy levels and the feeling of joy and happiness.

WHEN SHOULD ONE CONSIDER A COFFEE ENEMA?

A coffee enema can be administered at the end of a regular colonic to improve hydration and detoxification. This is particularly beneficial to people suffering from constipation, candida or those who consume a lot of sugar. For therapeutic purposes, and strictly on a doctor’s recommendation, the procedure can be repeated anything from daily (liver conditions) to three times each day (cancer) to clean the colon, detoxify the liver and help heal the entire body.

HOW IS A COFFEE ENEMA DONE?

A solution of organic lightly roasted coffee is administered at the conclusion of a colonic and held in the sigmoid colon and rectum for +-12 minutes. The implant is followed by a short flush to cleanse the colon and you’re good to go!

Most people who cannot tolerate caffeine well are able to do coffee enemas without difficulty as very little caffeine is absorbed by the colon during the first 12 minutes of treatment. Any remaining caffeine is easily flushed from the body after the enema is completed.

This is a special process and needs to be prepared ahead of time. Please give me 24 hours’ notice of your intention to have a coffee enema.

HOLISTIC BENEFITS OF A COFFEE ENEMA?

  • Implants/enemas in general, and the coffee enema in particular, can help stimulate, balance and clear many reflex points that run from the colon segments to every organ and tissue in the body.

  • In acupuncture terms, coffee enemas enhance your liver meridian activity and balance the large intestine meridian.

  • Coffee contains a desirable form of selenium, a vital mineral that is not well absorbed via the mouth, but is better absorbed through the rectum.

  • Coffee contains some toxic metals such as lead and cadmium, and some toxic alkaloids. But, when taken by rectum, these are not absorbed nearly as much as when coffee is taken through the mouth. This occurs because the colon is designed to absorb nutrients, while filtering out and leaving behind toxic substances in the colon.

  • Retaining this enema forces one’s attention downward and moves energy toward the pelvic floor and feet, which is extremely therapeutic as it assists with grounding and centering.
